BBC Modern History

This BBC Site of Modern World History is an interactive resource that you
can use to teach about the key events that shaped the 20th Century.? After
reading the articles, students can take an online quiz or work with a
timeline.? There is also a teacher’s section!

Adolescent Literature Lesson Plans

My friend, Florence, recommended the Adolescent Literature Lesson Plans &
Resources site which contains links to lesson plans and resources for
adolescent and young adult (grades 7-12) literature, including mysteries and
English literature. Since there is considerable overlap between authors and
titles for children and adolescents, there is a link to a Children’s
Literature site too.

Basic Facts Sheet

This site was suggested by one of our third grade teachers, Laurie.? You
choose the operations and whether or not you want the efforts to be timed.
Students then work online to complete the ‘worksheet’, the computer grades
it and it can be saved or printed.
