The Global Virtual Classroom is a free online educational program to promote
communication, collaboration and understanding among students around the
world.? A few years ago The Virtual Classroom was “The Ultimate” in computer
projects. It is being revitalized under new sponsorship and the deadline
for registering is very soon. It is an intensive project but a high-quality,
effective project.

I made a great move this fall to teach with the Computer Technology Studies
dept at Jasper Place High School in Edmonton.? There is no shortage of great
things going on there but the one that I want to share today is a site
developed by the students of our DevWeb Team, under the guidance of my
friend, Brenda Frisk.? Their presentation of ?The Heart? earned them a trip
to Anaheim, California next month to accept the first place award at the
Multimedia Mania 2003 Competition of the NSBA.? We have some very talented
students (and an excited Mrs. Frisk) here at JP…

A few people wondered if that clock from Monday could be turned into a
screen saver.? I didn?t see one but then, List member, Genevra, wrote in:
?I sent the clock to my son and he sent this one back.? Thought you might be
interested.? This one is done by the same man, but it’s in colour and can
also be used as a screen saver.”
