Checking your CD-R Archives

I got this from our district tech newsletter, T4L Notes.? (Thanks Randy and
Darwin…)? I burned my first cd in 1996 – a hypermedia resume that? got me
hired with Edmonton Public.? The blank cost me over $15.00 and it took three
of them before it worked without fail!? Today?s article reminds us of the
frailty of cd-r media and offers some suggestions for dealing with the
degeneration of your data.

Water Cycle and Energy Activities from EPCOR

List member, Yvette Mandin-Kelly, suggested this site from our local utility company. ?There are several activities, pdf printouts and if you live in Edmonton, Canmore, Strathmore (Alberta) or Port Hardy, B.C., you can borrow videotapes from your main library branch!

DictionaryLink.com

My friend, Margo Johnston, has a great suggestion about DictionaryLink.com:

“At one time or another a dictionary is a useful reference.? Dictionary Link
is a compilation of free online dictionaries, thesaurus, language
translators, encyclopedias, crossword solvers, quotes and other language
resources. It also contains an alternate page with links to major news
sources and newspapers.”
