Another site from Nik Peachey – this site is for British Council language
assistants. It’s updated weekly from September to May with tips, materials
and links to help you with your teaching, plus a discussion group to share
teaching ideas. There’s lots here for any teacher of English.

We?ve been using this one lately to create custom crosswords for
term/definition activities.? It?s a free download and there are no limits on
how many puzzles you may create.? Sorry Mac users ? this one is just for
those of us stuck in the PC world …? :<

The power of the consumer is harnessed through this series of websites,
suggested by List member John Henker.? While John and I chatted about the
Edmonton site, I?ll put the link to the North American component here so you
can choose your own area.
?This site is great for teachers who want to get the most for their dollar
at the pumps. It has possibilities, as well, for use by students learning to
read graphs ( they have a lot of them on the site) and possibly for older
kids looking at economics or something. It is relevant and in their
neighbourhood, I think, therefore motivating and real-life education. ?
