YouthLinks.org

It would be difficult to explain in the abbreviated form of this listserv,
all of the goals and benefits of this site.? I guess it would best be
described as a place where high school students can explore, learn and
connect with others in Canada and from around the world.? The topics tend to
lean towards history and social studies with several tools available for
use.? You can sign up your class to participate or use it as a research
portal.? There are polls, news items and many chances to collaborate with
others and to publish student projects.? This is worth a look, even if you
don?t teach social studies!

The Eye

My friend and colleague, Brenda Frisk and her team of students did it again
last spring.? Brenda?s DevWeb team came through with another first at the
Multimedia Mania competition. Students Nick, Nathan, Stan, and Ivan
developed their multimedia based project on the eye.? The team members
traveled to New Orleans on June 19th to present their project at the
National Educational Computing Conference.

Anagram Genius

List member, Joop van Schie, suggested another anagram site.? While this one
sells a software package, there are free, functional tools on the site.
There is also a mailing list you can join.
