Got this from my pal Randy Lyseng yesterday.? Google has purchased a 3D
drawing program called SketchUp Pro 5 and has made it available for
free.? (Mac edition to be released very soon; Windows available now…)
>From the site: “Do-it-yourself kitchen remodelers, backyard rocket
builders, basement model train obsessives; Google SketchUp will let just
about everyone build and show off their creations in 3D.”? I’m going to
give it a test-drive and see how it stacks up against our Swift 3-D
application!

Now how often can a fella brag about something like this!? My pal of many years, George Millar, told me that his violinist daughter, Maria, is playing a concert at Washington D.C’s Kennedy Center this Saturday at 6:00pm EST.? Ever since she was a young teenager, I’ve known that Maria is a gal of pure talent – she’s Julliard-trained and among many endeavors, has played the solo-dancing fiddler in the Broadway and Touring versions of Riverdance.? You can tune in live on line or view an archived version afterwards. There are many other archived performances that you can view – have a look around while you’re there!
