I got this from my pal, Andy Lummis. You’ll find a vast collection of art-related lessons ranging from crafts, animation, sculpture and illustration.

Perth, Australia teacher, Kerry told me about a great tool for creating simple concept maps like Inspiration. It does not have all the features but it is a free application and you are able to register and store some work. I’m going to try it out with my students who have some planning to do today for their next website!

Joel Heffner has this great site that I wanted to mention. The Story Starter provides 345,935,040 creative ideas for writers of all ages. All of the story starters are randomly generated. The story starters can be used for short stories, novels, plays, scripts, or just for fun. Now, your students have no reason to say that they can’t think of something to write about!

Sitepoint is one of my favorite publishers when it comes to web design, css, and javascript. I have one book by them about Photoshop and it’s a good one for beginners and experts alike – and excellent for use in the classroom. Wouldn’t you know it but Sitepoint for some reason is offering free pdf downloads of the book until June 13, 2008! Head over and have a look. My download link arrived in my inbox within an hour.
