Future Classes

List member, Rod Oickle, uses this site during PD sessions to try and inspire new teachers questioning their decision to enter this field and to try to keep them on the right track with the basic current issues in education. I thought it was a great site to cap off the year.

And speaking of that, this is the last Teacher List for this year. In September, I’ll begin my 10th year of The Teacher List! I wish you all the best as you find some time to refresh, regenerate and relax this summer. See you in the fall!

EXTRA: FireFox 3 eBook

I just got this and realized that I’m out of school days to send it out, so here’s a double-dose today. Sitepoint, one of my favorite tech-publishers, is offering a free eBook to walk you through all the great features of FireFox 3, which was just released last week to record download responses. If FireFox isn’t your current browser, this is a great way to get started on using a browser that is more compliant and standards-friendly than some other types of browsers. The download for both FireFox and the eBook costs nothing. Enjoy!

PS: Those photos of the Space Station I sent out today weren’t of the current mission – they were of the Endeavor Mission of last summer. I think the email I received had been making the rounds for a while!

Space Station Photos

These from the August 2007 Eneavor space mission. These pixs are so good that it makes one feel as if you are there taking the pictures. Maximize your viewing area by hitting the F11 button and enjoy.

Visible Body

My pal Terry Korte sent this along, thinking of the BodyWorks show that’s currently in Edmonton. Argosy’s Visible Body is the most comprehensive human anatomy visualization tool available today. This entirely Web-delivered application offers an unparalleled understanding of human anatomy. The Visible Body includes 3D models of over 1,700 anatomical structures, including all major organs and systems of the human body.
