I got this one from Edmonton teacher, Daria Izio. This activity provides exploration of patterns using shapes, letters and numbers. This activity would work well in groups of 1 or 2 for about 15-20 minutes if you use the exploration questions and 10-15 minutes otherwise.

I got this one from my pal, Des King. The video was made by Melih Begil, and posted to YouTube, and offers a look back at the technologies, initiatives, and other early efforts that lead to the existence of the Internet we know today. The look back starts in 1957, “when everything began.” I know that I’ll be showing this 8 minute video to my students today…
