Here’s a site of free flash resources recommended to me by Cory Sakai the computer guy. There are some great tools to use if you have an LCD projector and/or IWB. While not all the resources are no-cost, many are and they have been known to make changes and additions based on email feedback.

I always hesitate to recommend a site that presents only one side of an issue, but after seeing this film, I’m moved to share this with The List. Former dolphin trainer now activist, Ric O’Barry and his crew went great links to capture on film, an instance of yearly slaughter of thousands of dolphins in Japan. I’m not sure if there’s an appropriate way to use this in a classroom, but it’s hard to ignore…

Kelowna teacher, Sharon Affeld, found the MathCounts Toolbox. This is a 9-page summary of the basic facts of elementary math. Go through each page, checking off all the things you know. Then try to learn at least one new math fact per week between now and test time.
