Vocaroo

Here’s a fantastic little tool from @vocaroo that you and your students can use to record voice. The interface is very simple – it’s a one-button click to start recording. Once your piece is finished, students can retry or have a listen. Then, the powerful part comes – one may then save that recording in a variety of formats – a sharing link, an email link, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, StumbleUpon and a variety of others. Students can also generate a QR code with one click – and that gets me thinking of many different possibilities!

Twitter Guide Book

Nova Scotia teacher and List Member, Eliot Frosst, has been learning about Twitter and was kind enough to share with me this @mashablehq Guidebook of Twitter 101 resources. If you’ve been wondering what Twitter is all about or want to fill in a few gaps, have a look at this. In my discussions and research, Twitter is emerging as the most relevant social networking tool for educators, so I’ll be looking through this site very closely over the next week.
