Florida teacher, Yvonne Akers, sent this site along. Smore.com is a flyer-generator with which teachers and students can create beautifully designed pages to share electronically. Not only is it a tool that will facilitate the construction of flyers but the templates will provide examples of good design principles that students can mimic in their own design work. The interface is intuitive as users are asked to choose a category, add a title and then the rest is up to them. When complete, the document can be printed (and thus saved to pdf), sent by email or shared via social networking. There are privacy settings, analytics and advanced tools to integrate the document with your domain.

One way you can help me out is to use my link to sign up for DropBox. If you sign up from here by clicking the link above, the bonus for me is that I get a bit more space to use in my work. And I'm eternally grateful for the boost! -Pete

Belize Literacy Program
In November 2012, members of the Belize Ministry of Education, principals, and lead teachers met in each of the six districts for two days of conversations and discussions around the challenges and next steps in integrating technology to support teaching and learning in Belize. The sessions highlighted global trends and challenges from the K-12 Horizon Report, the National Education Technology Standards (NETS) for students, teachers, and administrators, as well as an overview of the content from the August 2012 technology workshop for teachers.
